Question 1

What areas of Melbourne do you travel to?

Accepted Answer

Our core service corridor spans South East Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula—including Clyde North, Berwick, Cranbourne, Narre Warren, Pakenham, Frankston, Mornington, Mount Eliza, and surrounding suburbs. For specialized tiling or larger projects, we service other Melbourne regions on request.

Question 2

Do you handle residential homes or rental properties?

Accepted Answer

We work with owner-occupiers, landlords, property managers, and body corporates. Our photo-quoting system makes it very straightforward for rental managers and interstate owners to get quick, clear estimates without scheduling multiple site meetings.

Question 3

Do you provide lasting trade repairs or quick cosmetic cover-ups?

Accepted Answer

We do not paint over mouldy joints or smear silicone on top of failing seals. We mechanically rake out worn grout, treat and clean the joint substrate, and install fresh trade-grade compounds engineered for long-term durability. If our inspection confirms the sub-tile waterproofing membrane has failed, we will explain that regrouting addresses grout-level water ingress but cannot repair or restore a failed waterproofing membrane and outline the proper repair scope.

Question 4

How clean do you leave the work area?

Accepted Answer

We treat your home with complete respect. We use drop sheets, localized dust extraction where necessary, and complete a final polish of all tiled surfaces so your bathroom is left immaculate and ready to cure.

Question 5

Why don't you have a standard flat price list on your website?

Accepted Answer

Fixed prices over the phone often lead to trade surprises or rushed work on site. Shower sizes vary, tile types differ (ceramic vs delicate marble), and grout deterioration ranges from surface wear to deeply eroded joints. By inspecting photos first, we calculate the exact scope and give you a rock-solid, fair quote.

Question 6

How many photos should I take, and what should they show?

Accepted Answer

Take 3 to 5 clear, well-lit photos: one wide shot showing the entire shower or tiled space, one close-up of the floor and drain, one of the wall-floor corners, and one of any visible damage (cracked tiles or peeling silicone). A short video walk-around is also welcome.

Question 7

How fast do you respond to quote requests?

Accepted Answer

We review photo quote requests promptly during business hours. Once we assess the photos and your suburb, we will text or email your customized quote and outline the recommended remedy.

Question 8

Are there any hidden call-out fees for quotes?

Accepted Answer

No. Our photo-quote system is completely free with no obligation.

Question 9

What is the difference between epoxy grout and standard cement grout?

Accepted Answer

Standard cement grout is naturally porous and can absorb moisture, soap residue, and shampoo pigments over time. Epoxy grout is a two-part resin formulation that cures non-porous, making it highly stain-resistant and moisture-repellent. Note that while epoxy resists water absorption through the joint, regrouting addresses grout-level water ingress but cannot repair or restore a failed waterproofing membrane.

Question 10

Why does mould keep returning in my silicone joints?

Accepted Answer

Domestic bleach and surface scrubbing only clean the outer skin of silicone. Once mould hyphae grow into the silicone matrix or develop beneath a separated seal, the silicone must be stripped out completely, sanitized, and replaced with commercial-grade anti-fungal sanitary silicone.

Question 11

Can I just change the colour of my grout without raking it all out?

Accepted Answer

If your grout is structurally firm and not crumbling or loose, our Grout Colouring & Refresh service uses an industrial-grade epoxy colourant applied directly over the existing joint lines, sealing them against future stains and updating the colour.

Question 12

Can you match the colour of my existing tiles and grout?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We carry a comprehensive spectrum of professional grout shades—from crisp white and ivory to silver grey, charcoal, and black—to seamlessly complement your tiles.

Question 13

What are the common warning signs of a hidden shower leak?

Accepted Answer

Look for swollen timber skirting boards outside the bathroom door, peeling paint or damp patches on walls backing onto the shower, musty odours, damp carpet, or persistent discolouration along the shower base perimeter.

Question 14

Can a shower leak cause structural damage to my home?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Untreated leaks seep through subfloors, rotting timber joists or saturating structural concrete slabs. Fixing the grout and perimeter seals early prevents thousands of dollars in structural timber decay.

Question 15

When does a shower require complete retiling instead of regrouting?

Accepted Answer

If dozens of wall or floor tiles are loose (drummy), the screed bed underneath has turned to mud, or structural house movement has ruptured the sub-tile waterproofing membrane beyond localized repair, a rebuild may be necessary. We will always tell you honestly if regrouting is not the right solution.

Question 16

How does your online booking system work?

Accepted Answer

You can visit our /book page to choose a convenient day and time window for a site visit. You can attach photos of your project right in the booking flow. We will confirm your appointment via email and keep you updated.

Question 17

What should I do before the technician arrives?

Accepted Answer

Please ensure the shower or tiled area is clean and dry. Avoid using the shower for at least 12 hours prior to our arrival so joint moisture levels are low enough for optimal mechanical cutting and adhesion.

Question 18

How can I reschedule or cancel a booking?

Accepted Answer

Simply reply to your booking confirmation email or contact us via phone or SMS as early as possible. We are happy to accommodate changes.
